Accessibility

The main venue for the AutoUI 2025 is The Cube and an adjacent lecture theatre. The Cube is located in the Science and Engineering Centre at Gardens Point campus, 2 George Street, next to the City Botanic Gardens (a short walk from the city centre). The Cube is on Level 4 of the Centre (P Block on Gardens Point map) and is accessible via lifts.

HOW DO I COMMUNICATE ACCESSIBILITY NEEDS TO THE AUTOMOTIVEUI ORGANIZERS?

The AutoUI organizers aim to ensure the conference is accessible to everyone. When you register, a question will be labeled “Accessibility needs.” Please indicate any accessibility requirements, such as wheelchair access or a guide. The Chairs will follow up with you to clarify your needs. You can contact them at any time by emailing accessibility(Replace this parenthesis with the @ sign)auto-ui.org.

Important: Should you require sign language interpretation, please contact the accessibility chairs immediately. Hiring interpreters takes time, and we cannot guarantee accommodation for late requests.


ARE THE CONFERENCE TECHNOLOGIES ACCESSIBLE?

AutoUI 2025 will be an in-person event. All attendees are encouraged to present and discuss their research face-to-face. Presenters are encouraged to activate speech-to-text features in their presentation software if available.

IS THERE A TAXI SERVICE?

Yes, taxi and ride-hailing services are available in Brisbane. Services include 13Cabs (+61 13 2227) and ride-hailing apps like Uber and Didi

The Cube is located in the Science and Engineering Centre at QUT Gardens Point campus, 2 George Street, next to the City Botanic Gardens (a short walk from the city centre). The Cube is on Level 4 of the Centre (P Block on Gardens Point map) and is accessible via lifts. 

IS THE VENUE WHEELCHAIR ACCESSIBLE?

Yes, The Cube at QUT is fully wheelchair accessible. The main entrance has automatic doors, and all event spaces, including restrooms, are designed for ease of access. 

ARE ACCESSIBLE PARKING SPOTS AVAILABLE?

Yes, accessible parking spots are available inside QUT Gardens Point Campus . They are clearly marked and close to the venue entrance. Please refer to the provided map or contact us for assistance.

ARE THERE DESIGNATED SEATING AREAS FOR ATTENDEES WITH DISABILITIES?

Yes, there will be designated seating areas for attendees with wheelchairs, mobility impairments, or those needing other accommodations. These areas will be clearly marked. If you need help finding or reserving a spot, let us know.

ARE SERVICE ANIMALS ALLOWED?

Yes, service animals are welcome. If you plan to bring a service animal, please inform us in advance to ensure adequate space for you and your animal.

WILL THE PRESENTATIONS AND MATERIALS BE ACCESSIBLE FOR PEOPLE WITH VISUAL OR COGNITIVE IMPAIRMENTS?

Presenters will be encouraged to provide accessible materials, such as large-print formats and high-contrast visuals. If you require specific formats, please contact us in advance.

WILL THERE BE BREAKS FOR REST AND PERSONAL NEEDS?

Yes, regular breaks will be scheduled throughout the conference to allow attendees to rest, visit the restroom, or attend to personal needs. A quiet room will also be available for those needing a low-stimulation environment.
