Student Volunteers

Application

If you are currently enrolled in a Bachelors, Masters or PhD program, and want to apply to be a Student Volunteer (SV), follow the steps of registration on: https://chisv.org/autoui2019.

SV spots are limited, after the application deadline we will communicate whether you are selected for our SV team.
 

In general

As a Student Volunteer (SV) you will have the opportunity to be part of the team that will make sure visitors of the conference have a great time. This is also an excellent opportunity to meet peers and build your network. During the conference you will be assigned several duties such as welcoming visitors at registration desk, helping with setting up poster boards, guiding visitors, help during talks.

We ask you to:

  • Participate in several tasks during the conference.
  • Work a minimum of 20 hours at the conference.
  • Attend the full conference, you should arrive no later than Saturday afternoon and stay until the end of the conference.
  • For those who arrive earlier, there will be tasks available from Saturday on.

We agree to:

  • Waive your conference registration fee.
  • Give you a cool SV t-shirt to wear during your duties.
  • Do our best to manage the duties in a way so you can attend your preferred talks e.o. that you want to.
  • Distribute tasks as equally as possible.
