Our Commitment to Accessibility


The ACM AutomotiveUI 2026 Conference is committed to providing an accessible, inclusive, and welcoming environment for all participants, regardless of disability, neurodiversity, age, gender identity, nationality, language background, or other personal characteristics.

How Do I Request an Accessibility Accommodation?

Please indicate any accessibility requirements during registration using the “Accessibility Needs” free-text field. You may also contact the Accessibility Co-Chairs directly at accessibility @ auto-ui.org with any questions, concerns, or accommodation requests. If you experience issues you can also contact our Local Chairs at local @ auto-ui.org or the general chairs at chair @ auto-ui.org

We encourage you to contact us as early as possible, as advance notice increases our ability to arrange accommodations and provide appropriate support. The Accessibility Co-Chairs will be available before and throughout the conference to assist attendees.

Important: If you require sign language interpretation, please contact the Accessibility Co-Chairs as soon as possible. Arranging interpretation services requires advance planning, and we may not be able to accommodate late requests.

How Will Accessibility Requests Be Handled?

  • All accessibility requests will be handled confidentially and respectfully.

  • The conference organizers will respond promptly and make every reasonable effort to accommodate requests.

  • Participants are not required to disclose medical diagnoses when requesting accommodations.

About the venue

The main venue for the AutoUI 2026 will be held at Uni3 by Geely, located in Lindholmen, one of Gothenburg’s best-known innovation and technology districts.

The AutoUI 2026 workshops will be held at Natrium, a new University of Gothenburg building on Medicinareberget, the university and medical campus area near Sahlgrenska University Hospital.

  • What Should I Do If I Experience a Medical Emergency During the Conference?
    • In case of a medical emergency, call 112 (Sweden’s emergency number) and notify a conference organizer or venue staff member as soon as possible.

  • IS THERE A TAXI SERVICE?
  • ARE ACCESSIBLE PARKING SPOTS AVAILABLE?
  • IS THE VENUE WHEELCHAIR ACCESSIBLE?
    • Yes, the Uni3 by Geely is fully wheelchair accessible. The main entrance has automatic doors, and all event spaces, including restrooms, are designed for ease of access.

  • ARE SERVICE ANIMALS ALLOWED?
    • Yes, service animals are welcome. If you plan to bring a service animal, please inform us in advance to ensure adequate space for you and your animal.

  • ARE THERE DESIGNATED SEATING AREAS FOR ATTENDEES WITH DISABILITIES?
    • Yes, there will be designated seating areas for attendees with wheelchairs, mobility impairments, or those needing other accommodations. These areas will be clearly marked. If you need help finding or reserving a spot, let us know.

  • WILL THE PRESENTATIONS AND MATERIALS BE ACCESSIBLE FOR PEOPLE WITH VISUAL OR COGNITIVE IMPAIRMENTS?
    • Presenters will be encouraged to provide accessible materials, such as large-print formats and high-contrast visuals. Presenters are encouraged to activate speech-to-text features in their presentation software if available. If you require specific formats, please contact us in advance.

  • WILL THERE BE BREAKS FOR REST AND PERSONAL NEEDS?
    • Yes, regular breaks will be scheduled throughout the conference to allow attendees to rest, visit the restroom, or attend to personal needs. A quiet room will also be available for those needing a low-stimulation environment.
