GENERAL CONFERENCE GUIDE


As we returned to the in-person conference, there are a variety of questions about the conference.

Here are the general guidelines for the Automotive'22 attendees.

Local chairs (local@auto-ui.org) will answer the additional questions.

  • Please check the requirements of your destination before your travel.
    • Since the requirements are very different depending on the destination, check with your country's embassy for the latest information.
  • If you need any PCR/RAT test results, you can make reservations at the Incheon International Airport COVID-19 testing center.

2. Registration

2.1. Online registration (Recommended)

2.2. On-site registration

  • If you didn’t register before arriving at the conference site, you need to register at the registration desk.
    • You need to register for the conference using your mobile phone.
    • Payment will be made only via the website.
    • We will not support any payment terminals or wire transfers.

After registration, the staff will print out your name tag.

3. Venue (map included)

  • All programs of AutomotiveUI’22 will be held at Yonsei University, Seoul, South Korea.

  • Doctoral colloquium - Sep 17 (SAT)
    • Venue: D403, Engineering Hall 4
    • Note: Doctoral colloquium session is only for those who are invited.

  • Workshops – Sep 18 (SUN)
    • Venue: D406; D407; D408; D502; D509; D510, Engineering Hall 4

  • Main conference – Sep 19-20 (MON and TUE)
    • Venue: “Baekyangnuri”, The commons
      • Papers & keynotes & Women in AutoUI panel will be presented at the Grand Ballroom (B126).
      • Work in progress & videos will be exhibited in the Muak Rotary Hall (B132).
      • Women in AutoUI Photo wall will be displayed in the IBK Hall (B145).

    • Conference reception (Sep 19) and banquet (Sep 20)
      • Venue: “Allen Hall”

There will be SVs who guide you for the dinner place.

4. Workshops

  • All organizers and attendees who participate in the workshop session must be registered for the conference.
  • All workshops will run for 3hrs in the morning or afternoon.
  • Please ensure that you can participate in only ONE workshop per time slot.
    • You cannot join multiple workshops that are proceeded in parallel.
    • Each workshop has its maximum capacity of participants, so be prepared for alternatives.

5. Presenters

At least one author of accepted submissions (papers, WIP, video) must register for the conference by the early registration deadline in order for the final version of the submission to be published in the conference proceedings.

5.1. Paper presenters

  • Please check the time of your presentation session.
  • At least one author of each paper is required to present their work and answer the questions in oral.
    • Fifteen minutes were assigned for each paper, 10-minute presentation, followed by a 5 minute Q&A.
  • Keynote slides & materials must be brought on your storage device. You can also prepare and upload you file beforehand as a backup.
  • Please test your presentation in advance (e.g., during the coffee breaks), and present yourself to the session chair before the start of your session.
  • Online presenters: The presentation will be made by a pre-recorded video, but keep in mind that you will have to wait for questions.

5.2. Work in progress presenters

  • Please check your exhibition day (Monday or Tuesday)
  • You should print out and bring your poster by yourselves.
    • Posters with a maximum size of A0 (841 x 1188 mm)
  • Posters will be exhibited throughout the day.
    • It is recommended to attach your poster in the morning
  • Please prepare for the “One-minute quick introduction” to your work before the Q&A time.
  • At least one author of each work during the WIP Q&A session
    • Q&A session time: 15:00 – 16:00

5.3. Videos

  • Videos will be played during the Coffee breaks. There will be no dedicated Video sessions, but we encourage you to stay close to the Videos display to be able to answer to questions or engage in discussions regarding your research presented with the video.
